Music Resume & Current Professional Endeavors

Tristen Burt (b. 1993) is an accomplished pianist and organist, who has been featured in many private studio, private company, academic, festival, and sacred music settings. Tristen has accompanied and performed for many choirs, ensembles, and soloists at various Ventura and Los Angeles County locations specializing in sacred music for the Los Angeles Archdioceses, performance music for Moorpark College theatrical department, California Lutheran University, and the University Village Voices. He has previously served as the principal accompanist and organist for the California Lutheran University Office of Campus Ministry, as an alternate for the California Lutheran University Choral Ensembles, and has served as an alternate educator for the Children’s Music Academy. He has had the opportunity to perform across the country and throughout Europe, as well as work with many leading artists in a master class setting including Kyle Johnson, DMA, Pamela Ruiter-Feenstra, Eric Kinsley, DMA, and Wyant Morton, DMA.

 

Tristen studied piano and organ performance at California Lutheran University culminating in 2016. Tristen has had the opportunity to work with several chamber orchestra and voice ensembles, including a southern California concert tour with Maestro Marcelo Lehninger and the New West Symphony, featuring the works of Ravel's Second Suite from Daphnis et Chloé (2016), and travel on German concert tour (2015) featuring vocal selections of American Folk music tradition with the California Lutheran University Choral Ensembles under Dr. Wyant Morton.

 

As of recent, Tristen teaches piano in his private studio, accompanies for various parishes within the greater Los Angeles area, and plays for a number of public and private functions. Additionally, Tristen is in preparation for a concert debut of the works of George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Frank Sinatra, featuring works of the famous New York’s Tin Pan Alley (2017) under the directorship of Mary Mesick and the University Village Voices.
